My review of AmeteurMatch –
I was a little skeptical when I first learned about ameteurmatch but thought I’d give it a shot anyway. I’m glad I did because it quickly became my favorite adult dating site. Not that pages like match or plenty of fish aren’t great but I wanted something a little more mature related. The other sites all seemed a little trashy but I still liked the idea of 18 (or 21) and older only sites. It wasn’t easy getting signed up because they send you through a long process.
First I had to give my ethnic background to amateur match which I was a little uncomfortable with because I don’t want women refusing to contact me just because I was a certain ethnicity. What I found was that they allow you to hide that information should you choose. In the case of me, I choose not to share that with anyone. Then the initial sign on page goes on to ask how many partners you’ve been with, if you have a car, and whether or not you’ve ever been to jail. I guess these are all good things to know before a date even begins and it is important stuff especially on a site like this.
After I got through the first page, they finally started asking me the regular questions. They asked me about my height, my hair color, and where I was born. These are all things you can not keep private within your profile. I think it’s even more important in the case of a girl looking for a guy but I thought it was interesting that height could not be hidden. I certainly didn’t want to lie, so I just added a couple inches and make sure to date girls that are short enough not to notice. I’ve never understood why height was such an important thing for girls. They are usually lighter even if they are taller. I can still hold a girl that’s taller than me tightly and dance with her gracefully. That was the only question on that page that upset me, but I guess that’s my own problem.
The last page of the sign up process is kind of hilarious. It asks you all kinds of weird questions that only ameteurmatch would ask like “How many other couples have you been with”, “What’s your favorite position”, “Where’s your favorite place to do it”, and “Who was your best? Please describe”. They were great because they were all essay questions that ameteurmatch .com planted right at the end so that you would already feel invested in the sight. I guess it depends on how you look at it, but for me I thought it was funny. I answered all of those questions and didn’t make any of them private.
From there, I got started with ameteurmatch and had a fantastic time. It wasn’t even 2 days before I started getting emails. Not that I didn’t like the first few girls but let’s just say they were a little homely. After a couple weeks, I started emailing the girls I wanted to talk to. As it turns out, many of them were ready and willing to meet a guy like me. I liked that a lot. Things started turning around for me after I took the initiative.
The first girl I liked from amateur match was a girl named Tequila. I didn’t think she was serious at first. In fact, I had assumed that was just a screen name, but as it turns out that was her actual name. Tequila was a really pretty girl but also a stripper. I was a little worried that a lot of the girls on the site were going to be paid strippers or something but as it turns out there are just a lot of sexual people on the site. It makes sense.
I emailed her first telling her all about myself and thought she wasn’t interested when her only reply was… “sounds neat, what brings you to the site?”
As it turns out, she was just a little
crunched for time and actually wanted to know. I debated whether or not I should
even write her back but I sure am glad I did. We started talking back and forth
via the chat on ameteurmatch for about a week before exchanging numbers. She was
a wild girl and full of life. She showed me things that no other girl could but
when it came down to it, she was not the right girl for me to take home to the
parents. I loved her and wanted her to be happy but this just wasn’t the right
time for us. The good thing is that we’ve stayed in touch and we still meet up
from time to time. The site has allowed me to find more girls just like her and
I highly recommend it.
